Three generations · Brooksville, FLEarl Sr. opened the shop in 1958. Earl Jr. took over the wrench in 1982. Earl III runs the trucks today.
The Pickett Family

Same name on the truck. For sixty-eight years.

Earl Pickett Sr. opened the original Coast to Coast shop in Brooksville in 1958, working on Airstream trailers and motorhomes for snowbirds heading to Florida's Gulf Coast. His son Earl Jr. took over the wrench in 1982, expanded into mobile service, and got the family RVIA certified when the certification first came around. Earl III runs the operation today.

The model hasn't changed in three generations: the truck comes to you, the price is the price, the technician is the technician who turns the wrench. We follow manufacturer specs, NEC Article 551 for RV electrical, NFPA 1192 for everything else. Class A diesel pushers, Class B vans, Class C motorhomes, fifth wheels, travel trailers, toy haulers, pop-ups — every RV class on the road, on every brand from Winnebago and Tiffin down to Coachmen and Forest River.

What you get: a phone estimate before scheduling, an exact written quote on-site before any work begins, repairs documented with photos, and a satisfaction guarantee on every line. The same standards Earl Sr. set in 1958.

Common Questions

Honest answers.

What Florida RV owners actually ask, before they pick up the phone. Sixty-eight years of the same questions. Same straight answers.

How much does mobile RV repair cost in Florida?+

Basic repairs start around $95–$160 for simple items like thermostat or faucet service. Most common repairs fall between $200 and $850. Larger projects — rooftop AC replacement, full solar installation, water-damage restoration — run $900 to $5,500+. We give a phone estimate before scheduling and an exact written quote before any work begins. The price is the price.

What types of RVs do you service?+

Every RV class on the road — Class A, B, C motorhomes, fifth wheels, travel trailers, toy haulers, pop-ups, truck campers. Brands include Winnebago, Thor, Jayco, Forest River, Coachmen, Keystone, Grand Design, Tiffin, Newmar, Airstream, plus the rest.

Do you come to my campground or storage lot?+

Yes. Coast to Coast is fully mobile. Campground, RV park, storage facility, driveway — wherever the rig sits across Florida, we drive there. Trucks carry stocked parts so most repairs finish in a single visit.

How fast can I get an appointment?+

Most customers receive same-week appointments. Florida Keys, Gulf Coast, and central Florida snowbird hubs frequently have next-day availability during peak season. Emergency dispatch is available for AC failure in summer or active leaks. (866) 437-4848.

Are you licensed and insured?+

Yes — licensed, bonded, and insured to operate across Florida. Every technician holds current RVIA certification. All repairs follow manufacturer specifications, NEC Article 551, and NFPA 1192.

Can you fix my RV AC on-site?+

Yes. RV AC repair is one of our most-requested calls. We diagnose and repair every rooftop and basement unit including Dometic, Coleman, and Advent. Capacitor swap, fan motor, thermostat, compressor, full unit replacement — all on-site. Florida heat puts AC at the top of our priority list.

Do you offer pre-purchase inspections?+

Yes. Full-system inspections cover electrical, plumbing, AC and heating, roof and seals, slide-outs, appliances, propane, and structural integrity. Professional moisture meter for hidden water damage. Detailed photo report. 2–3 hours, $295–$475 depending on RV size.

What cities do you serve?+

Eighteen — Big Pine Key, Dunedin, DeLand, Sunrise, Estero, High Springs, Mandarin, Bartow, Coral Gables, Immokalee, Dunnellon, Ocoee, Callaway, Rotonda West, Osprey, Hastings, Plant City, Wellington.

Do you install solar?+

Yes. Complete RV solar systems — rooftop panels, MPPT charge controllers, pure-sine inverters, lithium banks. From 200W weekenders to 800W+ off-grid setups. We work with Renogy, Victron, Battle Born, Go Power.

How can I tell if my RV has water damage?+

Soft floors, bubbling wall panels, musty smell, ceiling stains, exterior delamination, mold growth. Florida humidity accelerates damage. We use professional moisture meters during inspection — early detection saves thousands.

What if my slide-out is stuck?+

Confirm the rig is level and parking brake is set. Check rails for obstructions. Listen for motor sound on the switch — no sound usually means a fuse or breaker. If basics don't free it, call (866) 437-4848. We service Schwintek, HWH, Lippert, BAL.

Do you service generators?+

Yes. Onan, Cummins, Champion, Generac. Oil and filter, spark plugs, fuel-system clean, starting-circuit diagnosis, voltage regulation, full rebuilds. Service every 150 hours or annually keeps most failures at bay.
